Was in the studio with Big and Gucci for an exclusive studio session. Track is called “Shine Blockers” featuring Project Pat. This track is fire. Gucci & Big both played their albums. Shot Gucci Mane yesterday at the ole studio. Rob Wonder came through with the smallest beat machine ever “The Kaossilator”. He DJ’d the whole shoot with that silly thing. We couldnt stop laughing so we decided to do a quick video. Sumner came through again with some creative editing. We puttin in work over here, as DJ Drama says “Pay Attention!”

Had to pull this one from the archives. Planning to make a huge print for my house ( 10ft by 6ft ) Taking orders once i find out the price. This wall has many well known street artist’s representing but none at the level of Miss Van. If you ever get a chance to get to Barcelona bring your camera, there is an insane amount of street art in that city, and to top it off you can buy Estrella Dam Beers for a quarter. Just got back from a shoot in Seattle for a rapper named $WAG. After the shoot wrapped I grabbed a drink at the Bar under my hotel. A few minutes later I ran into two of the most talented homeless people ever. I am in the process of getting their info so they can get their proper shine. For now enjoy a couple of LIVE performances from the streets of Seattle.
If anyone in the ATL doubts DAX’s connection with Big Boi and the whole Dungeon Family then part one of this to be continued series will put all those doubts to rest. Anyone who knows me, knows me I am a huge Big Boi fan, and have been bumping Southerplayerlisticcadillacfunkymusic since I drove down from Iowa in 01′. Everything I have wanted to do with music is happening and I feel like this is not real. The whole motivation behind these videos is to tell real stories. Big is a man of music and he keeps his world at Stankonia very protected. When you step into his world you have to respect the history bleeding through the walls. The new album is Bananas! Last friday I taught my first class at the portfolio center: “how to not get robbed in Bankhead while shooting rappers” no really the class is called: Location Lighting with Zach Wolfe. My students claim they had never been taught lighting before, hmmmmm. Sounds like going to piano school without the keys, anyways… We talked for about 15 minutes till I had enough with that talking bullshit, I told them to get off their asses and grab theirs cams and lets go shoot.
